Apa Beda Nabi, Rasul dan Ustad?

DUA sahabat, Habib Itam dan Habib Puteh, kembali bertemu di warung kopi. Diskusi dimulai:
Habib Puteh: “Apa beda nabi, rasul dan ustad?”
Habib Itam: “Wah, saya tidak tau!”
Habib Puteh: “Nabi adalah orang yang bertemu Allah dan menerima pengetahuan dari Allah, lalu ia menyimpan pengetahuan itu untuk dirinya”.
Habib Itam: “Kalau rasul?”
Habib Puteh: “Rasul adalah orang yang berjumpa Allah dan menerima pengetahuan dari Allah, lalu pengetahuan tentang Allah itu disampaikan kepada orang-orang”.
Habib Itam: “Terus, kalau ustad itu apa?”
Habib Puteh: “Ustad adalah orang yang tidak pernah bertemu Allah, tidak menerima pengetahuan secara langsung dari Allah, lalu berceramah dimana-mana”.
Habib Itam: “Lalu gimana bagusnya Bib?”
Habib Puteh: “Tidak semua ilmu itu untuk disampaikan. Sebagian besarnya itu justru untuk diamalkan dalam kesunyian. Dari amalan itulah lahir karakter yang akan memberi tauladan bagi manusia. Jangan banyak kali berceramah. Perbanyaklah memberi contoh. Kita para ustad cepat kali jadi rasul. Tau sedikit, langsung ngomong. Bahkan ulama itu sendiri sebenarnya harus jadi waris nabi. Harus lebih banyak diam, dan menggunakan ilmu-ilmu dari Tuhan untuk memperbaiki diri. Kalaupun ingin berdakwah, berdakwahlah dengan menunjukkan akhlak yang sudah kita punya. Jangan menceramahi ayat yang tidak ada dalam diri kita. Jangan memberi apa yang kita tidak punya. Seringkali yang berceramah itu bukan kita. Tapi setan yang ada dalam diri kita. Setan itu berceramah ke luar, bukan untuk dirinya. Kita tidak kurang orang pinter. Kita kekurangan suri tauladan. Islam tidak masuk ke Nusantara lewat rombongan penceramah. Islam hadir lewat lewat para pedagang, yang membawa tradisi spiritual dan aneka ketauladanan”.*****
