Untuk gelar haji yang bertuah
Kukenakan jas Nasrani
Untuk hadiri khitbah nikah
Pakai, pakailah apa yang kau suka
Hiasi dirimu dengan apa-apa yang kau punya
But, is that (true) Islam?
Islam itu,
Bukan tasbih
Bukan baju ihram
Bukan koko
Bukan peci
Bukan jas
Takkan kembali
Apa-apa yang kau pertontonkan
Takkan kau bawa pulang
Apa-apa yang wajib musnah
Islam itu keterlanjanganmu di hadapan Tuhan
Tanpa topeng dan aksesoris
Yang menutup busuk dan culas
Islam itu bukan penampilan as sich
Melainkan ketersambungan mu dengan-Nya
Islam itu “Nur Muhammad”-mu
Di balik jenggot dan jubah jahiliah
Islam itu Ruhmu
Yang bersenandung pagi petang
Yang bermujahadah siang malam
