Zikir itu tangan yang melempar, yang ketika engkau melontar, Dia yang melakukannya.
Zikir itu adalah jaga dan tidurmu; berdiri, duduk dan berbaringmu; sholat, ibadah, hidup dan matimu. Zikir itu adalah dirimu, yang tidak sedetik pun tercerai dari kehadiran-Nya.
Zikir itu adalah Dia, dalam keseluruhan dirimu. Zikir itu adalah engkau yang tak lagi tersisa. Zikir itu adalah ketika yang ada hanya Dia. Zikir itu adalah tidak ada kecuali yang Ada.
La ilaha illa Ana. Tidak ada tuhan kecuali Aku. Bukan aku. Tapi Dia. aku sudah tiada. Kecuali Dia.
Itulah Zikir. La Ilaha Illa Allah. Kalimah yang asli. Dia ada, ketika engkau tiada.
