APA ITU “APAM”?

BISMILLAHIRRAHMANIRRAHIEM. Banyak tradisi lokal di dunia melayu yang dibangun melalui kultur sufistik. Termasuk “kenduri apam”. Apam di ambil dari bahasa Arab, “Afwan”. Artinya ampun atau maaf. Salah satu Asma Tuhan juga bernama Al-‘Afuww (Maha Pengampun/Pemaaf).
Memohon ampun tidak cukup dengan berdoa. Harus ada “kenduri”. Kenduri merupakan salah satu bentuk sedekah dan persembahan untuk-Nya, sekaligus untuk sesama. Dalam perspektif sufistik, doa tanpa kedermawanan, akan tertolak.
